I'm a politico and foodie... I love a day at the ocean, Sailing, flying, golf, driving (Not the commute, but old British cars- top down, engine noise & salt air) I love to travel ("preferably someplace south of the equator") Time with friends and family can't be beat... new places to eat.. old places to eat. a little ballroom with Gemma whenever we can... Lupos with the fam, I love to putter on old cars... and catch a car show with My Dad every now and again.

Anything that breaks the old predictable formulas without resorting to shock value.. then again I love the Old Bond flicks (Dr. No!) and Indiana Jones (you can't get more predictable than those! Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind was good flick... always open to suggestions! Love the netfllix! for TV-- The Office, Top Gear, Anything with Billy Mays, Mike Rowe (Dirty Jobs) or Sheriff John Bunnell, NH Crossroads on NHPTV was a big influence on my TV career and I still love to watch Crossroads Classics. Food Network, strong news and well written dramas, timeless feature news packages are my favorite... some reality shows are a guilty pleasure for me. who can resist a good police chase?!

some weird stuff, but a favorite of mine is a Ted Kooser book, "Local Wonders" some of the best descriptive writing you'll ever see...

My Beagle Otto and I were a team for more than 13 years. I met him as a puppy when I was in 6th grade and we spent most of the next 13-14 years together. He was the perfect dog and gave unconditional love. He loved a good belly rub, but only if you knew how to do it- he once swallowed 13 feet of carpet fiber and after the operation to remove it- my biggest expense (more than my car!) he had a tender spot on his belly and if you rubbed it wrong-- he would snap at you.. understandable. He hated swimming but loved walking on the Hampton, NH beach with me. Otto even came to work with me at the TV station on occasion... On the night beofre he was put down we shared an ice cream and he did a lot of listening (I'm wierd,...but it was one of the most amazing moments...)We went EVERYWHERE together- some of the local Hampton restaurants even let him sit patiently under the table as I ate with friends... we drove many miles with top down in my MGB and he never jumped out... I can't say the same for my second beagle (Riley)... here's what happened-- we were just on a long driveway going slow and he hopped out-- lesson learned. I have so many great shots of Otto when he was in better health, but unfortunately I didn't have a digital camera at the time so I'll have to scan those great pics in at some point.. I'm a sentimental dork... so it will be fun...
