We have decided that Buster needs a friend so we have applied to rescue a Beagle. We have found one same age and the double of Buster called Barney we have a lady coming out tomorrow with her Beagle to approve our home for a rescue dog (which I thought was bit weird but I dont mind)
Only think im a little worried about is what if Buster doesnt want a friend?? We are going to rescue centre in a week or two if all approved tomorrow to meet Barney with Buster to see how they get on. Its a bit of a long drive I really hope they like each other. Ive no worries on Busters part as he loves all dogs but not sure about Barney as the poor thing has been left in Kennels for 6 months his owner didnt come back for him - How horrible is that!!! I could not do that to my baby.
Has anyone else rescued a dog before who could give me any advise?? Someone at work said I will have to change Busters insurance since we are bringing a rescued dog into family does anyone know if this is true??
Ive never had two dogs before and really hope they get on. The woman at the rescue centre said since we will have 2 I will have to start and treat them more like dogs as we have Buster like a baby - dont think im gonna be able to do that!

Yes, we rescued one of our Beagles (Ace). We also just recently rescue a disabled doxie. And regarding what the rescue said, heck no! I still treat Abby like a baby.

Jamie: fur mom to Abby-dabby-doo (red and white beag), Ace (tri-color beag) and Dandy the doxie too. |
