My beagle licks everything. The carpet,blankets bed sheets...etc. Sometime he like gets into a trans licking its hard to stop him. any one else have this issue? |

It could be an anxiety issue. How does he act while he is licking everything? How old is he? |

My friend's dogs do that (not beagles) I have no idea why they do!

yes both my dogs lick the furniture and themselves and blankets all the time I can't figure it out either.

I've never had this problem with my girl but if she started this I would make a loud vocal noise to serve as a distraction and when she stopped and looked up at me I'd give her a treat for stopping. I've never tried this as i've never had this problem but I would imagine it's worth a shot!

Morgan used to lick my bed a lot.
I think he was either a)trying to clean the bed for him to sleep in b)was trying to cool it down or c) wanted to get the salty residue from my skin from the blanket (creepy and gross really). But I think Hallie hit the nail on the head lol. |
