Wow...I left my Tippy yesterday for about an hour. My neighbors(!!) were very upset. He howled and howled. (According to them..the whole time) ..I have left him before for about a half hour and noone complained so I figured he'd be ok.

We have only been here a little..had to move from an 8 room home to a one bedroom. I know its a change for me so he must feel it as well. Now when I go somewhere..I have to make sure there is someone to "sit with him" while I'm gone.

I checked around about pet sitting, and its amazing the cost.

Don't worry. Beagles tend to have this behavior as an instinct since they are pack animals. This behavior is not strange and it will take a while before he stops making noise when shut in the crate. Trust me. It is normal and all beagles tend to do the same. Glad to help. :)
